What did I do at Twitch?
I looked after reported content on Twitch – that meant handling regular reports, checking out emote issues, and dealing with suspension appeals. I also touched base with lawyers to make sure everything was above board legally.
I put together and managed NetzDG (now DSA) reports, working with lawyers to make sure we were applying the laws correctly. I figured out where our process had hiccups and how to make it better, always keeping legal risks in mind.
I handled tricky topics and sensitive content from the community. If something looked like it might be a criminal matter, I got legal advice. I also came up with and rolled out strategies to make the platform safer and worked with other teams to improve our moderation.
I also helped new moderators get started, showing them the ropes. I regularly updated everyone on what was happening in online content moderation and any new challenges that popped up.
